Seasonal Farmers Market
Information updated October 2018
The third year of the Howard Lake Farmers’ Market included a move to Lions Park, the addition of many new vendors, and some fun extras, such as live music, art projects, and a playground for the kids.
In 2018, farmers market organizers and vendors slated the market to be open every Thursday afternoon from 3 to 6 p.m., from early June to late October. The market’s new location, in big and beautifully-refreshed Lions Park; ensures people traveling past on Highway 12 can’t miss it.
The market is very inclusive – one never knows what treasures they may find. In addition to fresh, home-grown produce, such as sweet corn, berries, cucumbers, rhubarb, green beans, tomatoes, squash, peppers, and just about everything that can be grown under the Minnesota sun, shoppers will also spy hand-thrown pottery, homemade soaps and lotions, honey, jam, eggs, flowers, fresh-baked goods of all kinds, and a bevy of satisfying beverages.
The Howard Lake Farmers Market is sponsored by the Howard Lake Area Chamber of Commerce and managed by Howard Lake native Myra Laway.
People interested in attending the market or becoming a vendor at the market can access information at www.howardlakefarmersmarket.com, or at the Howard Lake Farmers’ Market’s Facebook page.
